Layer Google Earth on your hotel's website!
An excellent presentation by Quirk Marketing to members of the Hotel Marketing Association in London (12th October 2009) demonstrated the advantages of adding Google Earth to a website.
Nic Ray, MD of Quirk, told how Google have now mapped one third of the world's surface (typically those areas with a high level of development) and that Google Earth is compelling as a destination marketing tool. He demonstrated how a hotel can show off its location in relation to business and leisure interests, as well as motorways etc., but stressed the importance of labelling these other attractions.
Adding a Google Earth layer improves your Google Search rankings and also facilitates mobile engagement by your customers. He also demonstrated 'moving' through a city like London, in the way a potential customer could reveiw your location in a very life-like way. Really compelling stuff!
